Bower Real Estate Pty Ltd trading as Shane Spence Real Estate has been Fairlight’s real estate agent since 1997.
Our aim has always been to provide our clients with excellent professional service. Over the past 25 years, our business has grown from referral and repeat business. Our office provides a full range of real estate services for residential property owners including; private treaty sales and auctions, residential property management and executive leasing, landlord insurance, referral to experienced mortgage brokers and regular free market updates to our many clients.
In order for our agency to provide all of these services, we outsource some of these skills to individuals who are recognised industry leaders who are best equipped and have outstanding credentials to represent our agency. This allows us to choose who we believe are the best individual performers in each field; not just the best person in our office or someone dictated to us by head office.

While Shane Spence is a fully licensed real estate agent and accredited auctioneer we engage one of the best Auctioneer in Sydney to conduct our auctions; Mr Leigh Stewart is a remarkable auctioneer, with whom we have shared outstanding success, working together over a very long period of time. Anyone who has witnessed Lee call an auction would agree his services are unequalled and are a great asset available to our agency’s vendors.

How do we do this?
- We believe informed vendors are those best prepared to sell their property. To this end we seek to provide our clients with a complete and frank market appraisal so they can make informed decisions.
- We believe each property is unique. We seek to advise our clients on the best methods of selling their home: Public On-Site Auction, Private Treaty or Sale By Tender. We are not fixated by any one method of sale.
- Every property should have a marketing programme, which is tailored according to the vendor’s budgetary constraints, the value of the property, the type of property and the method of sale.
- Shane Spence has negotiation skills proven over 40 years in business, working for some of Australia’s largest corporations and the real estate industry. Before all else, the essence of all good negotiations is that all parties can rely on the integrity and trustworthiness of the negotiator.
What We Do Not Do!
- We do not promote properties off a data base. At best any data base only represents part of the market. We endeavour to promote properties to the entire market.
- We do not measure ourselves by counting days on market. You can not go to the shops and spend “sold in 3-days”. We only measure our success by the level of satisfaction achieved by our vendors (first and foremost) and our purchasers.
- We do not sell properties on the quiet or have back pocket listings. When we sell properties, we want to shout it to the world and make the biggest impact we can.
